Supervisor - Protein Purification

We are looking for a Supervisor who is organised and has great attention to detail to work within the  Protein Purification department.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Conforming to good laboratory practice and health and safety requirements
  • Experience in purifying proteins
  • Use of technical laboratory equipment in routine functions such as protein purification (AKTA systems) and in protein analysis
  • Maintain equipment in line with quality expectations
  • Perform regular general laboratory operations
  • Supervising Laboratory Technicians

Knowledge and Skills

Essential Skills:

  • Theoretical knowledge of protein purification with practical experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Appropriate experience in industry or academic laboratory
  • Purification of proteins using different chromatography techniques
  • Experienced in the use of AKTA purification systems and proficient in the use of the Unicorn software
  • Experience in electrophoresis techniques
  • A relevent Scientific degree
  • The ability to follow set policies and procedures
  • The ability to record results accurately
