Commercial Marketing Manager-Systems

Experienced with laboratory analysers, you will be responsible for identifying region specific needs and developing sales and marketing tools to help drive commercial activities in the countries we operate.  

 Understanding the customer decision journey, you will also have the creativity to bring this to life through informative and creative campaigns in partnership with Marketing Communications.   

This global role can be based anywhere within the UK and involves up to 40% travel. 

THE ROLE 

  • Ensure achievement of revenue budget for area of responsibility
  • Actively support salesin order toachieve budget 
  • Develop and implement marketing plans in collaboration with regional teams ensuring close alignment with subsidiaries and their tactical marketing plans
  • Work closely with Scientific Communication and Medical Scientific Liaison teams to develop appropriate scientific data and communications to support marketing plans 
  • Develop and understand Customer Decision Journeys for portfolio/therapeutic area
  • Develop and execute creative promotional campaigns in close collaboration with the Marketing Centre of Excellence 
  • Ensure promotional campaigns correlate with and speed up the customer's journey through the marketing funnel
  • Set KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness, determine ROI for all activities
  • Contribute to development of market entry strategies for new products as well as the product/portfolio roadmap by the Product Management Teams
  • Contribute to product launches including preparation for market, product and commercial readiness & production of launch materials and promotions on time and in budget
  • Establish and maintain relationships with global KOLs / key customers / networks

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE  

  • Scientific degree, PhD or equivalent and/or Marketing or Business degree or MBA 
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience, including minimum 3 years' work experience in product management/marketing in the diagnostic/Life science industry & sales experience.  
  • Previous experience of executing strategic and tactical marketing campaigns. 
  • Previous experience of digital marketing 
  • Excellent written, presentation and communication skills  
  • Numerical skills for manipulation of market and sales data, profitability calculations and development of business cases 
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as a minimum) 
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships (internal and external) 

Desirable: 

  • Marketing related qualification 
  • Member of Institute of Marketing or equivalent professional body 
  • Experience of international markets and marketing across subsidiary organisations 
  • Other languages 
  • Ability to think strategically and link disparate information and to see ‘the big picture'.

Location: UK (International Travel once restrictions are permitted up to 40%)
