Global Product Manager

You will be responsible for devising and supporting execution of strategy for product and portfolio management and report into the Marketing Manager. 

 

THIS ROLE IS REMOTE BASED WITH OCCASIONAL TRAVEL TO OUR HEAD OFFICE IN BIRMINGHAM 

 

THE ROLE 

  • To work closely with other Marketing department to ensure alignment and effective communication.  
  • To show ownership and to be accountable for all aspects of product and go to market strategy.  
  • To understand and communicate current and future customer needs to inform strategy. 
  • Guide product launches including preparation for market, product and commercial readiness & production of launch materials and promotions on time and in budget.  
  •  Guide product lifecycle management including monitoring customer feedback, competitor activity, new customer needs and sales support materials, product changes, and product discontinuation. 
  • To work closely with commercial teams to neutralize competitor threats and generate customer demand. 
  • To develop expert knowledge of assigned area. 
  • Ensure all activities carried out based on a strategic plan and individual goals. 
  • Where necessary, manage and work with external vendors to develop new products. 
  • Develop the product / portfolio roadmap for area or responsibility. 
  • Work with Commerical Marketing team & Communications to produce materials and deliver promotions on time and in budget.  
  • Establish relationships with global KOL’s / key customers / networks. 
  • To ensure achievement of revenue budget for area of responsibility 
  • To actively support sales to achieve budget. 

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE  

  • Scientific and or Marketing / Business related Qualification 
  • Experience within Life science / diagnostics industry and ideally in new product development. 
  • Experience of working internationally across global markets.  
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to develop stakeholder relationships.
