Supervisor

We are looking for a Supervisor who is an organised, committed, methodical, passionate individual to work in our busy Raw Material Development Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the development of processes and manufacture and delivery of high quality materials for the use in Assay Development & Manufacturing Teams. 

Duties & Responsbilities:

  • Developing robust, validated processes to guarantee reliability in the future
  • Developing specifications for raw material to guarantee consistency in the future
  • Producing pilot lots of antisera and other materials to be transferred to manufacturing or to stock
  • Evaluating calibrator and control material sources & sustainability
  • Successful transfer of new products and processes to manufacturing, including training
  • Providing control measures/materials for manufacturing once product is transferred
  • Ensuring that all manufacture and in-process testing within the department is performed and documented as required by the company quality, regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Ensuring that all paperwork is completed correctly, ensuring the accurate transfer of data and calculations.
  • Supervision of up to 4 team members

Essential:

  • A relevant Scientific  based degree or equivalent qualification
  • Laboratory experience
  • Previous experience of working within a quality management system
  • Previous experience of using an ERP system
  • Effective communicator, accurate administrator
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • To be well organized/good time management - working to deadlines
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Good analytical skills
    Able to problem solve
  • To be confident and enthusiastic approach to work - good work ethic.
  • To be flexible to the needs of the business which includes the need to work overtime when required to ensure

Hours: 40 hrs
