LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT ADVISOR (12 MONTHS FIXED TERM)

The Purpose 

As a Learning and Development Advisor you will support the business’ strategic plans for growth by leading on the development and implementation of progressive learning and development strategies. Responsible for continuous improvement and delivery of our corporate induction new starter experience, including the design and delivery of soft skills learning. You will report into the L&D Manager and support the wider team with ongoing projects, apprenticeships & our learning management system.  

Role Responsibility 

 

  • You will design and deliver engaging blended learning solutions, such as online/face-to-face delivery design, to various audiences within the organisation. 
  •  You will work collaboratively with your colleagues in your team, as well as across HR Services and other stakeholders to shape and improve learning and development to ultimately provide an excellent learning experience to our employees and learners. 
  • You will largely contribute to the day-to-day management, support and implementation phases of our Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Providing frontline training support and guidance to employees to achieve both individual and organisational goals. 
  • Driving the design, delivery and ongoing evaluation of training solutions that can be utilised by TBS employees. 
  •  Working with the Quality team, ensure all colleagues understand the overall Regulatory Training compliance within the business
  •  Managing the internal Apprenticeship Programmes to ensure that an Apprentice journey is structured and supports the requirements of both the apprentice, the college and TBS.
  •  Supporting the L&D Manager with the Development Strategy and plans going forward

Experience required: -  

  • 5 years’ experience with L&D environment. 
  • Previous experience of designing & delivering a variety of in-house training courses
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the training cycle
  • Knowledge of working with 3rd party training providers 
  • Experience of Apprenticeships
  • Experience of creating and delivering soft skills training Programmes
  • Experience of facilitating group events
  • Experience of working within a L&D department with strong administration background
  • Understanding of L&D trends

Location: Birmingham 

Hours: 40 hrs (2 days remote working on a rota basis)
