PROCESS RISK SPECIALIST

The Process Risk Specialist role is a brand-new role within our rapidly growing organisation. We are looking for someone who is organised and has great attention to detail with a wealth of experience with a H&S Laboratory background. 

 Role  

  • To review & outline H&S procedures to ensure appropriate compliance practices are in place. 
  • To create & provide guidance on site risk assessment including work with biological / chemical agents and the development of codes and practices.  
  • To ensure the procedures and policies coincide with business needs and that the risk is assessed and handled appropriately. 
  • To support training on H&S and regulatory guidance including the use of biological and chemical agents within the building. 
  • To prepare reactive plans following accidents / incidents involving actions for improvement.
  • To perform investigations of H&S related issues and discrepancies.
  • To promote a positive safety culture to Operations and employees and promote continuous safety awareness and improvement. 
  • To use the ERP system to log the progress of assigned work and raise change requests to support the integration of Health and Safety direction and instruction into current working practices. 

The Ideal Candidate 

  • Degree level ideally within a scientific and or H&S subject. 
  • Previous H&S experience within Laboratory and or Regulated Industry. 
  • Understanding of scientific and regulatory principles. 
  • Experience of Risk Assessment Management 
  • Experience of change control processes
  • Background within IVD preferred.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent written & communications skills.

Hours: 40 hrs
