Demand Planner

We are looking for a Demand Planner to lead our demand planning process, collaborating with our commercial teams and global business units to ensure that we have the highest levels of accuracy of the forecasts that feed into our production and inventory planning processes. This role is part of our Supply Chain team and reports to the Customer Demand and Supply Manager.

 

The Role

  • Own the demand planning process and coordinate the cycle of demand reviews
  • Own and maintain the demand planning tools in the ERP system
  • Develop and manage statistical forecasting models to generate baseline forecasts
  • Lead regional demand reviews with commercial teams in the global business units and collaborate with the global marketing team to achieve a consensus demand plan
  • Collate and publish forecast accuracy KPI’s and drive forecast accuracy improvements
  • Generate metrics and insights as inputs to regional demand reviews and the Leadership Team review as part of the S&OP process
  • Line manage the Assistant Customer Planner

 

Experience

  • Previous experience of demand planning is essential
  • Demand planning experience across multiple global sales organisations is desirable
  • Educated to at least A Level, including Maths and/or Science subjects
  • Good understanding of Sales & Operations Planning
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Advanced Excel essential
  • Experience of using an ERP system
  • Highly confident presenting in person and via collaboration and video conferencing tools

Location: Birmingham & flexibility for 2/3 days WFH per week.

Hours: 40 hrs
