CHEMISTRY SPECIALIST

We are looking for a Chemistry Specialist who is organised and has great attention to detail.
Chemistry Specialist role is responsible for the improvement & optimisation of Buffer manufacturing processes.
The Role
- Experience is required of buffering, pH, reagent and buffer formulation.
- In depth understanding of good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) & H&S (COSHH, MSDS’s is essential
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and process improvement methodologies
- Ensuring that all documentation associated with change activities, CAPA, NCR or other work is completed to the current company standards.
- Knowledge of experimental design
- Ability to analyse scientific data and write the associated reports
The Ideal Candidate
- Science degree in Chemistry (or similar for example Analytical or Applied Chemistry) with at least a 2:1 grade, and 2 years lab/work experience, or a higher research degree.
- Chemistry A-level
- Experience in one or more of the following: Analytical or Applied chemistry, Development and use of buffers (biological buffers an advantage)
- Understanding of the Hofmeister series and pH.
- Understanding of COSHH and CLP legislation.
- Experience in writing-controlled documents, including detailed protocols.
- Ability to think critically about different methods and processes.

Hours: 40 hrs Based on site.
