Project Manager (9 Months FTC)

The Binding Site has an ongoing project involving a number of people across multiple departments in the business. Recent changes in the team have created the need for a temporary Project Manager to supplement the current Project Management team for 9 months.  The Project Manager will support senior management on various programs and sub-projects. Specifically, this will include assisting in creating, maintaining, and reporting on project plans to ensure they are delivered on time and identification of risks in the plan so they can be mediated. 

  

THE ROLE 

 

The Project Manager is responsible for working with the project management team to ensure projects are planned and progress is reported on a timely basis, appropriate project management techniques applied, and project documentation completed on time and to the required standard.  Specifically, this will involve: 

  • Maintain and amend the current project plans to reflect any changes in work or timelines. 
  • Define and build a project plan for any areas where they are not currently in place. 
  • Support sub-project managers with resource planning. 
  • Engage with sub-project teams weekly to ensure progress is reported accurately, highlighting areas of concern, and escalating them to senior management where appropriate 
  • Conduct intermediate project reviews with the team and ensure that lessons learnt are fed back into the plan  
  • Assist in the maintenance of the project action and decision logs 
  • This is only an outline of the tasks and responsibilities of the role.  You will carry out any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the Company. 

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE  

  • Project Management Qualifications 
  • Proven track record of working on multi—disciplinary projects 
  • Experience of working on successful projects and ability to manage across a variety of teams. 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Excellent IT skills particularly Microsoft Projects, PowerPoint and Excel

Location: Birmingham- Hybrid working 

Hours: 40 hrs
