Applications Specialist

The Application Specialist will be responsible for providing technical applications support and training to customers as well as higher level training for subsidiary and distributor personnel globally. Working with binding site systems (instruments and assays) to develop extensive knowledge and experience of software and performance. Develop a working knowledge of system performance and customer expectations. Develop knowledge of assay application and any issues on all TBS assays. Responsible for working both on and off site in a predominately customer facing role. Travel for both national and international travel can be required at short notice 

THE ROLE 

  • Using problem solving and analytical skills to assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and enquiries. 
  • Supporting and advising Sales, Marketing and Resolution Specialists to identify risks and manage customer complaints. 
  • Create and maintain technical support literature and training materials. 
  • Conduct technical presentations/ training sessions both in-house and offsite to educate and support customers in the optimal use of Binding Site assays and protocols. 
  • Training and supporting End Users, Sales, Marketing, Sunsidsary and distributor employees. 
  • Develop and maintain good working and customer relationships both nationally & international 
  • Excellent communication skills, keeping line managers and project managers advised of any issues and support needs. 

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE  

  • Immunology or Biomedical science-based degree or equivalent 
  • Full UK driving license 
  • Minimum of 2 years knowledge/ work experience in an Immunology/Biochemistry clinical laboratory  
  • Training experience 
  • Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation 
  • Knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures. 
  • Customer service and support experience 

 

Desirable: 

  • Ability to develop training programs 
  • Knowledge of TBS assays  
  • Handling of immunodiagnostic products
