The Purpose
As a Production Scheduler you will be operationally responsible for the maintenance of the daily production scheduling across multiple work centres and manufacturing departments, working as part of the Planning team driving utilisation and efficiency by ensuring the effective allocation of labour and equipment to ensure OTD/OTIF targets are achieved whilst managing material availability.
Cascade key information to planning to enable continual improvement and ongoing higher-level review.
Role Responsibility
- Responsible for the daily scheduling of shop order requirements in line with material and capacity constraints, maintaining an achievable production plan across the manufacturing departments.
- Understand, BOM’s / structures, Routings and MRP.
- Timely amendments of shop order quantities and completion dates in line with manufacturing output.
- Manage material reservations throughout manufacturing process.
- Identify and manage specific Work Centre bottlenecks, re-planning as required.
- Support company goal of 100% on time delivery to need date.
- Interface directly with the manufacturing teams and production planners to create a production schedule and communicate production delays to the relevant stakeholder.
- Work closely with manufacturing, production planning, and IT to continuously improve scheduling rules and tools.
- Demonstrate the ability to consistently deliver products to meet customer needs.
- Demonstrate the ability to balance the needs of the organization and the needs of the customer.
- Support day to day execution of all scheduling / planning activities.
- Interface with key stakeholders as required to achieve departmental metrics.
- Escalate any contentious issues to the team leader or planning manager.
- Provide prompt/immediate response to production planning regarding parts availability.
- Strong Excel skills.
Experience required: -
- GCSE English & Maths
• Previous Planning experience with ERP systems
• Experience within the Manufacturing industry
• Experience with measuring adherence/conformance to Plan (CTP)
• Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Word & Power Point

Location: Edgbaston Head Office 2 day's a week & King Norton one day a week Flexible
Hours: 40 hrs (2 days remote working on a rota basis)
