Supervisor ELISA & RIDS Manufacturing

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Supervisor to work in or busy ELISA & RIDS Manufacturing department.  The successful candidate will be in involved in:

  • Ensuring that all manufacture and in-process testing within the department is performed and documented as required by the company quality, regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Ensuring that all paperwork is completed correctly, ensuring the accurate transfer of data and calculations.
  • Ensuring that all equipment used within the department is maintained & calibrated in accordance to the relevant SOP
  • Providing support and guidance to technicians on matters of quality assurance, manufacturing & in-process testing, and to take appropriate action where errors are identified (with the support of their line manager, where required).
  • Training members of staff in the tasks carried out within the department
  • Addressing any CAPA’s and NCR’s assigned to the department and ensure effective completion of the various gates within the required timeframes
  • To have an understanding and plan the capacity of their area of responsibility (including resource and equipment)
    Ensure that issues are raised and escalated appropriately, with technical issues referred to the investigation team.
  • Identifying problems / issues as they arise and be able to communicate these to appropriate members of staff and to suggest potential solutions and improvements.
  • Line management responsibility for designated technicians.
  • Scheduling the workload within your area of responsibility.
  • Completing records and worksheets fully, clearly and legibly, at the time work is completed.

Essential:

  • A relevant Scientific degree (or equivalent in work experience)
  • Laboratory experience
  • Previous experience of working within a quality management system
  • Previous experience of using an ERP system
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • To be well organised/good time management with the ability to work work to deadlines
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • To be flexible to the needs of the business

Desirable:

  • Experience in a supervisory role

Hours: 40 hrs
