We are looking for an experienced improvement practitioner, comfortable working with a team or as an individual to identify opportunities, analyse root causes and action improvements.

Our CI Specialist position gives you the opportunity to work across all parts of the organisation both on your own projects and coaching others through their “champion” projects.  

The successful candidate will support the development of a culture of Continuous Improvement at TBS where we are always working to; improve quality, increase productivity, reduce lead time and keep our colleagues and customers happy. 

Day to day this will mean working with the CI manager and team, delivering improvement training, coaching and projects.

Essential:

  • LCS Level 1c / LSSBB or equivalent
  • Excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts including Lean, value stream mapping, visual management, TPM
  • Experience of hands-on implementation of continuous improvement activities in manufacturing and support functions
  • Demonstrated experience in selecting and working with a wide range of CI tools
  • Coaching experience
  • Experience of delivering training
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good negotiation skills (when working with others)
  • Good negotiation skills (when working with others)
  • Strong analytical  and problem solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Evidence of continuing personal development
  • To be flexible to the needs of the business
