We have a fantastic opportunity for a Scientist to join our busy Systems Verfication team.  The successful candidate will be involved in

  • Running analysers in routine functions to include the following: calibration curves, running of blanks and samples, correct running of off-line diluted samples.
  • Printing and labelling of raw data before attaching to the relevant worksheets / records.
  • Completing worksheets and spread sheets and other relevant records, ensuring data transfer and calculations are carried out correctly.
  • Initial analysis of data to determine whether the results meet the specified QC limits. Record PASS/FAIL.
  • Reagent quality control on automated analysers and Mass Spectrometers.
  • Running samples on automated analysers and Mass Spectrometers..
  • Modification and testing of automated analyser parameters.
  • Report writing.
  • To have responsibility for the completion of verification documentation required for the successful verification of new products under the guidance of a Team Leader. T
  • Taking on other additional tasks as required by the needs of the business.  This may include, but not be limited to: data analysis on statistical packages, writing of instructions for processes or equipment, use of biochemical techniques (gel electrophoresis, column chromatography, Western blotting, etc.)
 
Essential:
  • A relevant Scientific Degree (or equivalent), or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of general immunology and/or biopolymer mass spectrometry.
  • The ability to work to deadlines.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good time management, self-organisation, and planning skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • The ability to work independently, following set procedures
  • Ability to use initiative, be self-motivated, take responsibility.
  • To be flexible to the needs of the business.
