The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for delivering facilities maintenance activities across four UK sites. This role will support across all facility maintenance area’s including electrical, heating, lighting, ventilation, cold storage, drainage, fire and alarm systems. This role plays an important part within the Health, Safety and Facilities Team and will contribute to the ongoing compliance requirements for multiple regulatory bodies. We are looking for someone who is hardworking & committed with a great background within the facilities maintenance field..

THE ROLE

  •        Complete and record preventative maintenance activity
  •        Upkeep records of services / Maintenance into the company’s quality system using our ERP system,                   equipment database or other logging systems by agreement with QA.
  •        Conduct statutory testing as required by the PPM schedule including electrical supplies, cold rooms, HVAC          systems, Water management systems and building fabric / systems.
  •        Undertake training as required and where required provide training for others.
  •        Keep accurate records and ensure that information is accessible by those that may require it.
  •        Execute PPM activities collaboratively with the manager(s) of the area(s) involved.
  •        Carry out risk assessments for work to be undertaken.
  •        Co-ordinate servicing & maintenance activity with approved contractors.
  •        Plan, coordinate and record results of company PAT tests
  •        Ability to work with third party contractors to deliver excellent services levels both internally & externally.
  •        Must have experience in dealing with complex situations.

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE 

  •        Good Standard of English / Maths
  •        Full UK driving license desirable
  •        Minimum of 2 years knowledge/ work experience in a facility maintenance                         environment preferably with mechanical and electrical experience
  •        Training experience
  •        Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation
  •        Ideally has experience within a supervisory capacity
  •        Customer focused with experience with service and support.
  •        Computer literate

 

This role may require working at heights and confined spaces so must be physically able to carry out these duties.

Location: Birmingham

Hours: 40 hrs – 9-5.30pm Monday – Friday however flexibility to work outside of these hours due to critical business activity.  Overtime is available for all work conducted outside of core hours.
