Supply Chain Analyst

We are looking for a commercially minded Supply Chain Analyst to conduct data analysis to improve our supply chain operations. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential and if you have experience in manufacturing, logistics and supply chain processes, ideally in a biomedical environment, we’d like to meet you.

The role will report to our Group Planning Manager with an initial focus on developing KPIs for and identifying performance improvements in manufacturing. Over time it is anticipated that there will be opportunities to broaden the scope to include purchasing, warehousing, forecasting and customer service.

THE ROLE

  • Develop and maintain KPI’s and dashboards
  • Develop and manage processes for supply chain operational reporting
  • Provide reports and insights for the monthly S&OP process
  • Use KPI’s and analysis of other data to generate insights and identify opportunities for performance improvements
  • Participate in projects, both as a team member and project leader, that address performance improvement issues identified
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to specify systems developments that enable improvements in reporting and access to data
  • Support the supply chain team in resolving queries and issues relating to the ERP and other supply chain systems

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • At least one year’s experience of data mining, analysis and reporting in a manufacturing, logistics or supply chain environment
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel knowledge, e.g. charting, pivot tables, slicers, data manipulation
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes e.g. production and inventory planning, warehouse management
  • Familiarity with the constraints associated with materials and products that have limited shelf life
  • Experience as a user in an ERP system
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to frame and present insights and ideas, supported by data
  • Ability to identify and solve problems
  • Able to organise and manage own workload, including working to hard deadlines for publishing of reports

We would also prefer these:

  • Experience of working in a biomedical, pharma or similar life science environment
  • Knowledge of IFS (our ERP system)
  • Good knowledge of working with a Quality Management System

Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham (Hybrid 3 days office base & 2 days remote working with flexibility)
