Specialist - Production Support

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Specialist to work in the Assay Production Support Department.  The successful candidate will be operationally responsible for the investigation of Production Improvement activities with Technical/Customer Services, Manufacturing, R&D, Planning and Inventory.  In addition, you will be expected to maintain specialist knowledge relevant to manufacture and the use of assays.  You will be responsible for the completion of projects, improvements and investigations that have been assigned to you and support other team members in the completion of these activities as required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities. 

  • Design and validation of Excel Spreadsheets for use in the Manufacturing Department.
  • Support in the review, continuous improvement and maintenance of all Production processes and analysis spreadsheets
  • Update and monitor data/statistics onto spreadsheets for planning and reporting purposes.
  • To ensure that any improvements initiatives are carried out in a timely manner.
  • To assess new software and equipment where necessary and give feedback on suitability for use.
  • To carry out full process and spreadsheet validation.
  • Completion of investigation and experimental reports where required.
  • To develop specialist experience and knowledge with respect to immunoassays and so contribute to the specification and design of future QC methodology and data analysis.
  • To carry out design changes to existing processes when required and assist in the investigation of complaints if necessary.
  • Using data, highlight improvement opportunities within Production, or highlight areas of good practice.

Essential: 

  • BSc or MSc in a relevant discipline
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Experience with advanced features of Excel including VBA coding
  • Experience of working in a GxP environment with lean awareness
  • Experience within Bioanalytical methods
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • To be proactive, hardworking & committed.
  • To be flexible to the needs of the business
