Buyer – Raw Materials Control


We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Buyer to join our Purchasing Team to deliver a Raw Materials purchasing strategy from a tactical perspective, working cross-functionally with other stakeholders in the business while applying best purchasing practices, such as sustainable purchasing.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring ERP parameters such as MoQ, Lead Time, EoQ and safety stock/replenishment point are regularly reviewed and  maintained at appropriate levels to match business demands.
  • Ensuring Raw Material parts purchased for The Binding Site are purchased on time, in appropriate quality and quantities at best value and safety stocks maintained at agreed levels.
  • Carrying out purchasing processes accurately and within schedule and providing accurate information, such as KPIs, when required.

Essential:

  • Degree or Post-A Level qualifications (or equivalent)
  • Experience of Supply Chain / Purchasing within a manufacturing business.  Operational knowledge of supply and demand management, cost analysis, supply chain issues, value for money issues and sustainability.
  • Excellent Numeracy and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Good working knowledge MS Office (Excel, Word & Powerpoint)
  • Purchasing skills: Supply and demand analysis, purchase planning, development and operation of KPIs, operational negotiation and supplier management.
  • To be reliable, friendly and approachable.
  • To be flexible to the needs of the business.

Hours: 40 hrs
