Events Manager

This role will be responsible for managing all Events & Exhibitions across our UK & Global Offices from start to finish. You will work closely with our Marketing, Territory Mangers, Scientific Affairs and UK Logistics teams. You will need to have strong organisational skills and confident at communicating at all levels from Senior Stakeholders to external clients. This role reports into our Global Communications Team and will help support our rapid growth expansion plans.  

This role will require occasional international travel to global exhibitions. 

THE ROLE 

  • To have full responsibility for the successful operation of global exhibitions aligned with company strategic plan 
  • Drive the exhibitions strategy with Marketing Managers and Commercial team 
  • Work with overseas offices and distributors/territory managers to get commitment for attendance and activity to drive customer attendance. 
  • Use digital marketing tools to drive promotions of the event prior, during and after.
  • Understand the investment and objectives and work to ensure every event is successful with improved ROI
  • Decision making on all aspects of conferences from layout, team organisations, logistics and systems. 
  • Manage costs in line with budget
  • Ensure all events are publicised through the correct channels.
  • Production of meaningful reports
  • To provide global exhibitions leadership to employees in the department, to subsidiary offices and across the Company when required.
  • To develop specialist experience and knowledge within the Exhibitions area.
  • To be responsible for integration of exhibitions into the marketing group. 

IDEAL CANDIDATE  

  • 2-5years of relevant proven Event Management experience. 
  • Marketing or Business-related degree ideal 
  • Previous experience of working in an exhibition environment 
  • Previous experience of managing budgets.  
  • Excellent written, presentation and communication skills  
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as a minimum) 
  • Good organisation skills and ability to multitask and work on multiple events & projects.  
  • Ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships (internal and external)

Location: Birmingham -Hybrid 3 days in Edgbaston office & 2 days working remotely

Hours: 40 hrs
