We are looking for a Senior Demand Planner to take ownership for the full Demand Planning cycle. You may be a strong Demand Planner or Demand Planning Manager now, with or without management responsibilities, but you are passionate about process and improvements and driving the business forward through collaboration. This role will incorporate the creation of the overall forecasts for the business and work closely with key stakeholders across the business.   Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential and if you have experience in manufacturing, logistics and supply chain processes.

The role will report to our Group Customer Demand & Supply Manager with an initial focus on the optimisation of the current processes and driving meaningful insights for the business.

THE ROLE

•         Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels.

•         Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results

  • Use and maintain the Demand Planning software within ERP system as the primary forecasting system tool & input / maintain all forecasts into Demand Planner Client and forecast files
  •  Generate IFS Master Schedule (ERP) for selected product range over a five-year horizon.
  • Lead Demand activity within business S&OP, owning the process of compiling reviewing the data and presenting to the leadership team. With ownership for the Demand aspect in S&OP and highlighting areas for improvement
  • Create/provide suitable tools for use in collaborative forecasting within the wider business, including various reports to be used with senior stakeholders
  • Updating and commenting on Forecast accuracy measures; striving for continual improvement
  • Coordinate with global teams to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
  • Lead regional forecast reviews to review forecasts with subsidiaries/ General managers
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Marketing, Planners, Finance and Group Supply Chain Manager and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
  • Designate tasks and responsibilities for the Assistant Customer Planner role related to demand planning, stock management and reporting
  • Conduct regular 121s with Assistant Customer Planner
  • Lead IPD process for direct report and be responsible for their training/ development within role.
  • Manage NPD within the planning department. Introduction of new forecast, and dissemination of information to the wider planning team.
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning team in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
  • Proactively identify demand uncertainties/changes over the forecasting horizon, and work collaboratively with Production planning, subsidiaries and product managers to understand/challenge.
  • Report on products approaching SSL and comment on drivers of scrap risk
  • To be responsible for setting up and maintaining accurate system data relevant the role.
  • Develop tools and strategy improvements to the allocation of SKU’s where demand outstrips availability to ensure fair share
  • Manage daily transport tasks to allocate stock accordingly without impacting customer supply

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Strong Demand Planning Experience of 3+ years
  • Working within a Manager or Senior/Supervisor Demand Planning role currently.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel knowledge, e.g. charting, pivot tables, slicers, data manipulation
