Field Service Engineer-DENMARK

We now have an exciting position working as a Field Service Engineer. You will provide engineering support in relation to the installation, service and repair of analysers supplied by the Binding Site, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific

 

You will be working across Nordic countries in a predominately customer facing role, with travel often at short notice. The expectation is that you will be visiting customer sites 2-3 days a week. You will join a friendly and enthusiastic team, who values open communication and supporting one another.

THE ROLE

  • Installation, configuration, and functional testing of analyzers at customer sites as required across the Nordics region.
  • Undertake analyser preventative maintenance services.
  • On-site repair and/or replacement of any faulty components (hardware/software/configuration/LIS) to restore functionality of the analyser within the agreed timescales and in order to offer first time fix solution.
  • Analyzer hardware and software updates.
  • Technical support by phone or email to answer enquiries or solve simple problems.
  • Relocation, removal and/or reconditioning of installed devices.
  • Provide technical documentation when requested by customers.
  • Keep control of the stock of spare parts.
  • Perform stock counts for the corresponding location when required.
  • Attend national and international training courses as required.
  • Properly report the service activity through the company's integrated management system, IFS (work orders, expense notes, etc.).
  • Carry out specific projects, tasks or reports commissioned by the Manager.
  • Keep the Technical Service Manager advised of issues and support needs.

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE 

  • Electronics, Mechanical or Engineering Degree / HNC (Or equivalent) or Chemistry Degree
  • 2-3 years’ experience within a Field Service Engineer or similar role supporting clinical laboratory instruments
  • Driving license.
  • Flexible regarding travelling.
  • Experience in the medical industry and laboratory experience desirable.
  • Experience training customers and users of laboratory instrumentation preferred.
